Are you finding Apple’s iOS slightly stale? Perhaps one of the newly-launched Android phones has caught your eye? Moving your data from one platform to another needn’t be stressful. and is certainly no reason to avoid switching to Android. We guide you through the process for your contacts. Below is the easy way to move your contact from iOS to Andriod.
The smartphone market is split down the middle. and the two eco-systems – Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android – don’t always play well together.
But if you’ve spotted a new Android phone and are thinking of ditching Apple. you needn’t be worried by the prospect of migrating your data. By following easy steps it’s possible to move everything over in just a few minutes.
Follow these five simple steps to moving your contacts from an Apple device to Android.

Step 1 To Step 5
1. Log-in to your iCloud account on your desktop or laptop by visiting www.icloud.com and entering your Apple ID username and password – this is the same password you have to enter when you buy apps or music.
2. Click on the contacts icon and select which contacts you want to copy by holding CTRL and clicking on them with your mouse. If you want to select them all. then click on the gear icon in the bottom-left and “select all”.
3. You then need to get this file onto your new Android phone, Two easy ways to do this are to plug the phone into your PC and drag the file into its memory, or simply email it to yourself as an attachment and access it via the email app on your phone.
Incidentally. that email can be saved as a handy backup of your contacts.
4. Once it’s on your phone you need to import those contacts. Go to your “Contacts” or “People” app. whichever it’s called on your specific phone. and tap the “action overflow” icon (this is the three dots in a vertical line. where rarely-used commands are hidden).
5. Select import and point to your VCF file – your contacts will now be on your new phone.
